As far as RAW Scion is concerned, when a Demigod reaches Godhood... a whole lot of nothing changes. They don't reach independence. They don't leave behind their status as the child of another God and step into their own shoes. They keep whatever Associated Powers and Favored Abilities they had as a Hero and a Demigod.

Well, nuts to that. When a Scion reaches Godhood, they are no longer a child. They are a God and they need to stand on their own two feet. The solution? Upon reaching Godhood, a Scion is instantly and forever stripped of all their Favored Abilities and Associated Powers. Only their Pantheon-Specific Purview remains.


As a new God, the Scion develops his own Associations. He picks two of his highest-rated Epic Abilities or Purviews to Associate himself with. Every time his Legend increases, he may choose another of his highest-rated powers to Associate with. That means that when he reaches Legend 12, a new God has 5 Associated Powers in addition to their PSP. The only way to gain more is to learn Ultimate Attributes or Purview Avatars. After learning such a power, that trait becomes Associated with the God.

What about Favored Abilities? Well, those are related to Ultimate Abilities. As a Demigod, a Scion can have up to 3 Ultimate Abilities. New Gods automatically Favor any Abilities they have Ultimate Expressions for.

The transition to Godhood has another benefit: the cost of Mundane Attributes is reduced to CRx3. Since the God's body is a construct of their mind, it's fairly simple for them to adjust how it manifests. The real challenge is convincing themselves of the change.
